These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of leterme. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms.

1. What leterme is

leterme is a private digital service that lets you create capsules for your future self using text and, depending on your plan, audio or video.

The service is designed for personal and private use. It is not a social network and it is not intended for publishing or sharing capsules publicly.

2. Account and proper use

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for the activity that happens under your account.

You agree to use leterme lawfully and not to upload content that infringes rights, violates applicable law, or interferes with the service.

  • Each account is personal and may not be used to impersonate another person.
  • You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
  • You are responsible for keeping access to your email account, password, and any recovery methods secure.
  • You agree to verify your email address when prompted, both when creating your account and when accessing capsules shared with you.

3. Plans, payments, and Pro access

leterme may offer a free plan and a Pro plan with additional features, such as more storage and access to richer capsule formats.

When available, Pro is sold as a one-time purchase linked to the account that completed the payment. Unless expressly stated otherwise, that purchase is not a recurring subscription.

  • The free plan may include usage limits, including limits on the number of capsules or available formats.
  • The Pro purchase unlocks the features described in the product at the time of purchase for that specific account.
  • Additional paid features or storage, if offered, may be subject to their own limits and descriptions inside the product.

4. Deleting your account

If you delete your account, your capsules and associated data are permanently removed and cannot be recovered through leterme.

Deleting an account also ends access to any plan benefits attached to that account. If you later create a new account and want Pro again, you will need to purchase it again for that new account.

5. Capsule content and availability

You keep responsibility for the content you create or upload. You should only upload content you are allowed to use and that you choose to store in leterme.

We may update, improve, limit, or discontinue parts of the service from time to time. We aim to operate leterme reliably, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability at all times.

6. Limitations

leterme is provided as a private digital tool for personal use. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, leterme will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for losses resulting from unauthorized access caused by your failure to protect your credentials.

7. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions to reflect changes in the product, legal requirements, or operational needs. Continued use of leterme after updated terms are published means you accept the revised version.
